I like using Dex mode when I have my keyboard, mouse, and monitor all set up. I do not want to use windowed mode any other time. Unfortunately, it is far too easy for my cat walking on my tablet to turn it on by accident, and far too tricky to turn off on purpose, which is not helped at all by the fact that searching in settings and the user manual for "dektop workspace" turns up no results. This despite the fact that I know this is the exact name of the setting as it appears in multiple places. This lack of documentation or ability to find the setting is a huge mar on an otherwise great feature.
Have you tried to access the Dex mode feature via the quick panel? The device should have the ability to activate and deactivate by simply selecting the option from your quick panel settings. What is the model for your specific tablet to review this Dex mode feature inquiry?

The dex mode feature in the quick panel causes my tab s11 ultra to try connecting to a monitor. Even if that were the solution, the lack of any documentation saying so would still be a problem.
