This notification panel is extremely small. I don't like it. I've been in panel settings, I've looked at display size, heck, I've went into developer settings and changed the minimum width. There is no isolated setting for the width of the notification panel on my tablet, and if there is, it should not be so hidden that I had to make this post. Now, when I opened my tablet to see the software update, I clicked "Go to home screen". Was there a setting there that I needed to turn off? Why are you like this, Samsung??

Edit: yes, I have messaged the developers through the feedback channel. I am awaiting some response right now. It's awful that there doesn't seem to be a setting for this. Thank you for your responses.

Sorry, there is no secret setting to make it bigger.

Yes, it is rather comically small for a tablet, when in portrait mode. When in landscape it is fine, I don't mind it so much.
Giving the Fold and tablets a slab phone size notification panel is just ridiculous. As soon as I restarted my Tab S10+ and saw what I saw, I immediately went to the support section of my tablet and sent feedback with a request to figure out a way. To make it bigger.

It looks like they designed the notification area for the tablets to open in popup view.  I suspect they thought it might be convenient so that you can view your notifications without interrupting what you were working on.  The only way to register your dissatisfaction and to possibly have it changed would be to send feedback to the developers. https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Tips-Tricks/How-to-Send-Feedback/ba-p/3001692

Yes, I agree it is terribly small, specifically on a tablet which I use more than my phone at times. Making a setting makes sense and let the user decide.

You are making a very big assumption that they are going to bring it back.

I really hope they do. I'm very tired of these updates changing my UI. Over the past couple years, I have had to disable so many new, unnecessary settings, and digging through my tablet's settings app every 2 or 3 months is just annoying. The fact that not even that can save my UI?? Idiotic. Perhaps it's just a need of mine, I'm willing to admit that my anger may not be fully justified, but I'm tired of my UI being messed with by people who don't even know I exist.

They don't make changes for individual users, they make global changes for the masses.  It is their software and their interface to change or not change.  You may think some settings are unnecessary, they may have been requested by enough users for Samsung to take notice and implement them, or they may be some developer's fever dream.

You can express your dissatisfaction to the Samsung developers by sending feedback through the feedback link in the support tab.  Sending feedback (positive or negative, or feature requests) this way is the only way to get the eyes and ears of the developers.  The more feedback they get on an issue, the more likely they are to make act on that feedback. Posting here doesn't count, it only reaches other users.  There may have been a huge number of tablet users who asked for a popup of the notification feed so that they don't have to interrupt their work flow to see notifications. On a tablet or a fold, there is no reason for the notification feed to take up the whole width of the screen, although there is nothing wrong if it does - it's just wasted space.

The new Samsung health app is awful. I would like the original screen put back.

What does this  have to do with the subject of the original post, which is the shrinking of the notification panel on the tablets?
