A Series & Other MobileHello,
This issue has been posted but after troubleshooting, the issue persists.
1. Cleared camera cache and data
2. Checked for system updates
3. Checked for camera updates
4. Deleted unnecessary apps
5. Checked for Director's Mode
6. Tried lowering resolution settings
7. Launched camera in "safe mode"
You'll notice that the camera switch button disappears when the record button is pressed. I'm thinkng this is a hard ware issue. I'm wondering if there is an app I can use to fix this.

A Series & Other MobileAssuming that's all true then there is a fair case for being able to toggle between the front and back view at least on Pro Video as well as Default video recording. For example, record the scene and toggle to the narrator for the scene; or toggle during an "interview" style conversation between the questioner and the interviewee (assume recording of both sides during a general conversation is equivalent).
However, since I don't see it's value for all other video record modes and your screenshot during recording looks like my Pro Video view I have to ask if you have the same problem using Video with no extended mode selected? e.g. that should be what you get when Video mode is selected and you immediately start recording, i.e. switch to Photo and immediately switch to Video and immediately press record. If I do that the f/b switch remains but it's the only video mode that happens for on my phone.
I think it should also be there for Pro Video but don't see the real value for any other video recording mode...well maybe also front and back simultaneous recording during Dual Rec (recorder change of expression in front camera as back camera scene develops) but none of the other video modes make a lot of sense to switch while recording.

A Series & Other MobileThanks Maird,
I agree. I dont care that the f/b switch doesn't exist for all modes. My problem is it doesn't exist even for the standard video mode. I even activated developers options to see if anything was different there versus my A12 (old) and A16 (current) and the only thing is see is the A16 is a slightly newer version (15.0.03.61) opposed to 15.
I thought this may be an issue with a particular version that Samsung needs to fix. Then I explored the same feature on my Android tablet, camera version (5.2.0.20231114), and it doesn't work there either.
I don't get it.

A Series & Other MobileI think you're right. I ended up downloading an app that immediately allowed me to switch btw f/back view. So it's definitely a bug, right?
