A Series & Other MobileWhen you boot up your phone you may briefly see a smart things "snowflake" icon, because Smart Things starts when the phone starts up.

A Series & Other MobileI said *may*. I see it very briefly and only if I'm watching the boot. I also usually see a brief notification that says "smart things is running". I never see Smart Things in my battery usage, though, so maybe it only starts to detect if there's any linked devices or for updates. I do not know, as while my smart devices can be controlled by my phone or watch, they are on timers in other apps.
