What are the possibilities as to WHY all of the sudden (for approximately the last 4 months, I refill my straight talk account and within just a few days my data for the whole month is used up? Could it have anything to do with me moving? I only moved to the next town (approximately 14 miles from where I was? I apologize to ANYONE that finds this question and confusion about such an "obvious" answer I'm beyond electronically handicapped ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜‘

Did you have Wi-Fi at your old address and do you have Wi-Fi at your new address? Do you perhaps travel to places with no Wi-Fi? I am certain it has to do with the phone's ability or inability to connect to Wi-Fi.

If your using Facebook, that is a huge data hog. If you have play store set to auto update apps, there's another data hog as you'll pull updates mostly every day. If you have auto system updates on, there is where some is going. Check out data usage and see whats been using data. But my guess is facebook and auto updates. ๐Ÿ––๐Ÿป

Check your apps for background usage.  Put unused apps to sleep.  Make sure your update settings in apps and in the Play store are set to use wi-fi only.  You can turn off mobile data to prevent apps from using it (in the quick panel tap the mobile data icon-the up/down arrows - this will not affect your calling).  You can easily turn it on when you need to use it.  You can set a data cap on your phone to stop all mobile data activity after a certain level - which you can easily manually bypass when you want to use it, since you are in control.  It will also prevent you from going over your plan usage and incurring extra charges.  Settings/connections/data usage/billing cycle and data warning - enter your billing cycle, turn on set data warning and set data limit.  Set the limit to whatever your monthly data limit is and set the warning to somewhere below that level so you know when you are getting close.

Are you streaming and did not set the apps to use wi-fi only?
