Will OneUI 8.5 also include Android 17

I just updated my A53-5G to OneUI 8 with Android 16 yesterday. That's supposed to be the last Android update for this phone. I'm just wondering if I'll get OneUI 8.5 when it's released if it doesn't include Android 17.

One UI 8.5 will still be based on Android 16. The difference between this version and previous .1 versions is that it will be based on a quarterly update (QPR2) instead of just the initial release of Android 16.

Think i read ui8.5 will go to a53 not sure on android 17 I think 16 is last but I could be wrong

Just looked and found android 17 not expected but will get security updates

Technically, most OneUI updates include support for the latest version of Android. However, being 8.5 might mean that you won't get another Android update until 9.0.
