On Saturday my phone Fold 7 updated and my phone died in the middle of it. Now my phone is messed up but still usable.
I am no longer alerted to another call while on the phone with someone. I dont have the swipe down quick panel but I do have the notification panel. I no longer have the flashlight. I had to download a flashlight app. Thats just some I've noticed. There could be more.
If I reset my phone back to factory will that fix it? Or do I need to buy a laptop to hook up my phone to it and the whole recovery from there?
It was just a security update, not a whole operating system update.
@Bettyn100 Having a device power off unexpectedly in the middle of a firmware update usually results in the device becoming a rock. It sounds like your phone must have made it through the critical part of the update if it is mostly working.
You can enable Call waiting in the Phone app settings.
Not sure if you checked but the quick panel is editable. The standard flashlight item may have just not been on the set being displayed. If you edit the quick panel you may find that you can add the standard flashlight back to it.
Backing up your critical data and doing a factory reset would be the next step if you feel that it is not working properly.
