Where has the live caption setting in hear enhancements in accessibility go? I use it for every phone call because I am hard of hearing. After last update it is gone.

How do I stop updates from changing my phone?

Hello, Welcome to the Community. We understand the concern of not seeing the Live Caption option.

The feature should still be available under Settings>Accessibility>Hearing Enhancements. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00085522/

If you are not seeing the option, ry testing the phone in Safe Mode to see if you are able to see it there. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062983/

As this occurred after an update, we also recommend clearing the cache partition in the recovery menu. To get to recovery mode:
- Turn off phone
- Once off, hold down volume up and power buttons simultaneously
- When Samsung logo appears, release power button BUT KEEP HOLDING VOLUME UP until the recovery menu appears
- Use volume buttons to navigate down to clear cache (NOT CLEAR DATA/ FACTORY RESET)
- Use power button to select.

If the option is still missing, then a factory reset is recommended. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062029/

If the reset does not restore the feature, the phone will need to be serviced to have the software re-flashed.

You can use the following link to find a list of service centers in the U.S. that can do the repair: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/location or by contacting customer support at 1-800-726-7864.
