When i try to make my samsung galaxy capitalize a word or letter using "text shortcuts", it doesn't work because it says that the corrected word has to be different than the original word, except it doesn't count the change being the capitalization, and otherwise it is the same word and there is no other thing i can type as the original word because it's just its own word, so how can i make it capitalize just a word or letter?
For example in the paragraph above, it never once typed a capital i for any time I tried to express myself as I. But when I go in to text shortcuts and enter i to be changed to I, it says it's the same word and needs to be changed to a longer word. Well I just want to type I quickly as I talk and not have to go back through and capitalize each one by hand (as I did in this paragraph), nor can I write anything shorter than one letter for something that's one letter.
Is there another way to do this or make it correct properly? Google said to edit my keyboard dictionary, but I've searched through my entire phone and every setting and there's not one thing called dictionary in my entire phone settings or any part of the keyboard where you can customize your keyboard dictionary. Is there another way??
Similarly, there's a name I type on a daily basis that it doesn't know to capitalize, and so I went to text shortcuts and entered the name not capitalized and then the name capitalized for the correction, and then it told me it had to be a different word and that the word was the same, even though the difference was the capitalization, it literally didn't count that as the change. So it's very frustrating because I use "I" and this name tons of times a day so it really affects my life.
Anyone know of any real fix for these issues, since Google is totally off on its suggestions?
