Secure Folder requires lock screen protection in order to access feature

I have a settings question... This has been a back and forth thing for me. I used to be able to have my Secure Folder password protected without having to have any kind of Lock Screen Security. Get a new device, now I need Lock Screen security. My last two devices, I've been able to have my Secure Folder password protected without Lock Screen Wecurity. Just got the Fold 7 and now I need Lock Screen security again. How can I go back to just have it password protected without Lock Screen Security? What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

There is still the option to automatically lock after 5 minutes. It's not as good, but it is still somthing.

samsung removed my post about the topic and redirected me here... okay BRING THE OPTION BACK why would u remove a feature as opposed to just adding the lock secure folder after locking ur phone

why have you removed the option to get the secure folder locked when you tap out of the app or leave it. i cant find the option anymore and therefor its useless to me.

Well maybe because im not a seasoned forum reader here and havent read other posts. Just want to post my own problems o samsung gets aware.

This is a user to user help  forum. By posting here, Samsung is not being made aware, but other users can offer some help and workarounds.  The rules of engagement of this site is that one should search first and then ask their questions if their search comes up empty.  A search would have brought up at least five other posts with the very same complaint.

I really miss the app privacy lock feature. Now I'm stuck with using the secured folder instead. The separated app lock is super convenient, so I hope it comes back.

Unfortunately I think I'm yet another person who can't use their secure folder as the access to them from any app has been basically locked away from us. I assume that the company is saying they don't have any issues on their end, and so they won't have an update plan though it's clearly broken. 

Any workarounds? I always hated that discord wouldn't open gallery anymore, now I doubly hate it
