Trying to recreate my desktop icons and widgets from oneui 6

HI. I am trying to recreate my desktop icons and widgets from oneui 6. I am not currently able to get my portrait view to work without having a big, unusable empty space. It's the 2nd screen shot above. 

If I adjust the 2nd screen to fill the space it will be wrong on the 1st screen (same screen actually, it's the rotation that changed). 

I think a solution would be to set one rotation view 6x8 and the other as 8x6. Not sure if it is possible, just thinking about what might work. 

There might be other ways but I am still working my way around the oneui7. Any ideas?

I use novalaunch to change the screen grid to whatever I want.
Mine dosnt look like yours but I do have small icons like like you. Novalaunch also kept my setup through the ui6-ui7 transition.
