i have a z flip 6 and i'm not sure what it's called, if it's AI or an automatic setting in the camera that tries to enhance the photos... but i want to know if i can turn it off or get rid of it. it ruins every photo i take and makes them blurrier, and no matter what i search up or which setting i play with i cannot for the life of me figure out how to turn it off!

image

for example in the screenshot above, it shows up as 4 spinning circles and then when the photo finishes loading it becomes a million times worse than when it was "unprocessed". i need sharper pictures in my life, not these blurry messes it leaves me with
i have camera assistant downloaded but none of the settings are toggled on. i keep forgetting to delete the app somehow. is that it?

all apps and phone software are up to date

Is that the camera or the Gallery editor?  If it's the camera doing the processing before you even get to the editor, see if there's an item in your camera settings called "scene optimizer". If there is, make sure the slider is turned off.  You may have different settings than I do since you have a more enhanced phone than I do with more advanced and AI features.  I believe those quadruple stars between the edit and share icons is the AI or auto enhancement symbol. I am not sure, as I don't have that, but I've only seen that icon in relation to AI.

sort of? the comment above by realaud had me digging deeper into settings and i think that it IS gallery settings that messes pictures up, not camera settings. go into the gallery settings and toggle "super HDR" off. i only took one picture just to test it, it seems to have fixed my photos but i can't be too sure since i've only tested it once so far. good luck!
