Quick started my camera and phone ( Note 20 Ultra) crashed and restarted. Logged onto Samsung members and got a prompt to submit an error report. If I had been using members more often lately there would be another dozen I'd have submitted.

I posted a while back about the camera crash issue and it seemed to have stopped for a little while before happening again.

An agent responded with a few ideas, which @TonyaS reported as being unhelpful, but the thread was closed so can no longer respond.

No idea if the defect happens in safe mode cuz it's sporadic when it does happen so no reliable or time efficient way to test.

And the fact that customized settings (not sure what else in addition to wallpapers the "etc." is implying would be lost) -- and possibly not even fix the issue!! -- is, with due respect, a terrible "solution", I mean suggestion.

I also have no idea what a "system cash partition" is.

I understand how frustrating this is. The system cache partition stores temporary system data. It's supposed to allow the system to access apps more quickly and efficiently, but sometimes things get cluttered and outdated, so a periodic cache clearing can help make the system run more smoothly. It's different from clearing individual app caches, and it won't lead to any loss of personal data or settings. Many authorities suggest a cache wipe after installing a system update. If clearing the camera app cache, https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00077611, and clearing the cache partition is not helpful, the final step of troubleshooting would be a complete backup and factory reset of the phone. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062029
