How can I save my messages history created under Samsung Messages? They vary in terms of their importance. Note: I plan to "clean" them before switching.
Contacts won't be affected at all. Messages are stored in a separate database on your phone. The messaging app is just an interface to access those messages. Whichever app you set as default will see all your messages.
I have a Note 9 running goggle messages now for about a month. Transfer from Sammy text was seamless and no issues. Phone, messages, all my bazillion old messages came over, everything went great and is running smooth. Only hiccup was had to set my sounds back up. No biggie. One plus side is bigger attachments can be sent.
