First, what's the difference between scanning and reading? The app I would use would capture the code and return back something that would be useful to the vendor. Like maybe an order number, or a price. Call it scanning or reading doesn't matter if does those kinds of thing.
Second, I prefer and app that doesn't give me ads.
Third, if the only app(s) that do the things in my first requirement and don't use ads. That's my choice.
Yes, I'd pay for it if that's the only one that fulfills 1, 2, and 3.😊
