The recent Android update for my Note9 that was available Sunday, November 4 messed up Google Maps and Waze in Android Auto in my 2018 VW.

After installing the update, the touchscreen is misaligned when using those apps, but no others are affected, and the Android Auto icons at the bottom of the screen are fine.

In Maps and Waze, the touch point doesn't line up with the icons, and sometimes I can't get the icon to work at all. It's like a calibration issue, but only in those apps.

That fixed it. Hopefully Google will address this in a future update.

I had the same exact issue, and I went to the extreme measure of going to a older firmware version (8.1.0). It worked perfectly for me!

I had the same issue. Google maps was unusable. Other solutions were to change the resolution. Unfortunately the note 10 doesn't have this ability. After trying a few things I went into the App permissions for location. I unselected each app using location. I then rebooted and reapplied location settings to my apps. This corrected the problem.

I have tried clearing the cache, installing and reinstalling the apps, restarting the phone and even buying a new Samsung 10 phone (I currently own a Samsung SM-G950U) and NOTHING has fixed the problem. I took the Verizon person with me and that did not help so I returned the Samsung 10.

I have no idea what to try next. My wife's Pixel (with Android Auto) and my iPhone (with CarPlay) work perfectly. The Samsung 8 and 10 work perfectly with Waze as long as I do not use Android Auto.
