Since installing the update I can't access my top of screen settings, such as screen brightness, wifi connection. I can only slide down to see apps opened

Swipe down on the quick panel

Click the pencil on the top right

Click panel settings on the top left

And click together

Then when you swipe down from the top your quick panel and notifications panel will work as they did before

That's the thing. Screen won't allow me to swipe down to see the pencil(screen is clean(. I can make it work, but it isn't easily. Takes several swipes. It wasn't like this before the update

That’s because in the update the split the swipe down action it’s now top left for notifications and top right for settings you should be able to use the steps above to re combine it too one swipe

100% correct. I don't like the new update and changed it bsck but to see brightness, media, etc. you'll have to scroll all the way to bottom

Actually. I've got to start at the power level indicator. It works, but that's the only spot where as previously you could swipe down from any point at the top of the screen

This an example of making changes no one asked for. Who asked for 2 separate actions for what was working fine for 5 years without complaint.
