Media Output button slow response on initial access

The media output panel typically has a very slow response when accessed after some time (say a couple of hours). The delay between pressing the button and the actual device list popping up can take as much as 2 seconds some times. Subsequent interactions are usually much faster, but the first interaction after a while is always very slow. Has anyone found a way to get around this?

First of all: which phone are are you using?

Second: you could unlock developer options and reduce the animation time of everything by half to make it snappier.

I have this issue with the Bluetooth button on the quick access buttons. Slight delay before it lights up as on. Note 20 Ultra. Not related to the developer options because I have those off
