Taking a screenshot on S22 Ultra not working properly

Lately when I try to take a screenshot the toolbar (I think that is what it's called) does not pop up so I can trim the screenshot, and I get multiple screenshots. A screen pops up saying "System UI Keeps Stopping" then there are 2 options: App Info and Close App.

I used to be able to reboot my phone to get my screenshots to work again, for a short while. Last week I ran the problem through ChatGPT. It said to clear the cache in Capture. It took me a while to find capture but I when I finally did, I cleared the cache. Screenshots worked for a while. As of yesterday, once again it's not working. Rebooting is not working and now I can't find Capture to clear the Cache.

My phone is up to date and it's running One UI 8.0 Is anyone else having this problem? Is there a solution... besides getting a new phone? I really don't want to do a factory reset, either.

Hey lynkin! Thanks for reaching out to the Community. Have you attempted to boot your device in Safe Mode and see if you are still having the same issue? This mode will disable all third-party apps from running in the background, which helps determine if an app is the cause. Take a look at this article on how to test in Safe Mode: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS10003495/
