Galaxy S22Hello,
Since the latest update on my S22 Ultra, I've been experiencing a recurring issue. The fingerprint icon no longer appears on the screen, which means I'm unable to unlock the device using my fingerprint. I then try to use the pattern, but that doesn't work either.
I must try several times to unlock it, and eventually it only works with the pattern. It's extremely frustrating to deal with this kind of problem.
Additionally, when I attempt a forced restart, the pattern screen appears again but still doesn’t respond, making it impossible to reboot the device.
Do you know why this might be happening? Or how I can fix it?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Best regards,

Galaxy S221) Turn off your device.
[Your device may need to be connected to a powered USB device (ex: computer) before proceeding to the next step.]
2) Press and hold the Volume Up button and the Side/Power button until you feel a vibration and the Samsung logo appears. Let go of the buttons.
3) You will now be in Android recovery. Use the Volume buttons to highlight "Wipe cache partition."
4) Press the Side/Power button to execute.
5) Use the Volume buttons to highlight "Yes."
6) Press the Side/Power button to execute.
7) "Reboot system now" will already be highlighted. Press the Side/Power button to execute.

Galaxy S22Have you run a diagnostic on the phone to make sure there is no screen defect? Diagnostics can be found in the device care settings of your phone or from the support tab in the Members app. If any component of your phone comes up faulty, you will have to have it repaired or consider buying a new phone. You can first try @Mujibar 's suggestion of clearing the cache. But, you should run a diagnostic anyway - your phone is aging.
