I received the June 1st security update today (June 19) and my phone is now having several issues.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra on T-Mobile network.

Wi-Fi is all but unusable. Videos lag. Apps don't refresh or take a painfully long time to do so. Browser pages don't open or take an equally painful amount of time. Battery is draining quicker. Call volume is affected on my end but not the person I am talking with

On the wifi, I tried resetting my router 1st. That didn't help. I checked every setting on the phone I could think of and that got me nowhere. Even did a factory reset which seemed to fix the issue at first but after about 20 minutes it came back . Switching to Mobile 5G data didn't help either.

The list of issues goes on but that is enough right there to know the issue is with the update because NONE of this was happening before I installed it.

I've been thinking about upgrading my Galaxy Watch 4 Classic with the new Watch 6 Classic when released, but if Samsung wants any more of my money they are going to have to do better.

Samsung, please release a fix for this bug ridden update as I seem to not be the only one having issues.

Thanks for letting me vent

Have you tried wiping your cache partition on your device?  This is always a good idea after installing an update.  This process requires you to restart your device, but will not wipe any data, other than temporary files.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I wiped my cache. Didn't change anything unfortunately. And neither did the factory reset. All the problems came back after 20 or so.

Did you restore your apps and settings from your old device or a backup you made just before the wipe? If so you could have restored a setting or an app that is causing your issue. Try again but only restore contact info and text messages, then see how the device responds for a few days before reatoring the rest.

No. I fresh installed stuff one at a time but never finished because after that initial 20 minutes the wifi issue started again, the browser pages would take forever to load or refresh etc. Text messaging is another problem area. I'll try your advice and report back in a couple of days. Thanks for taking the time to help.

I have a worse issue: it wiped my sim card and unregistered my cell phone. I can only do wifi calling here at home.  I am ordering a new sim card for my A12. So ticked off right now.

I don't know if anyone saw the warning before going ahead with the install but it said you could not "roll back" to the previous version of the mobile OS. Really really not happy.

I am also having issues after this update. Mainly a huge battery issue - Galaxy A50. I have to charge it halfway through the day. "Media storage app" is draining up to 90% but this isn't a true app, it's run by other apps. So no idea how to fix.
