Before one ui8 android 16, it was possible to adjust dex audio output prior to making a connection. Now the switch to output audio to the connected display is only visible and highlighted to switch on and off once a connection is made. Unfortunately when setting the output to go to the display, the switching process does not happen in real time as I have found audio continues to play on the phone speaker. The work around to get the audio redirected to the connected display involves switching on the setting having made a wired connetion on my dex pad and then disconnecting the phone and reconnecting the phone for the sound redirection to take effect. Can we have an update rolled out that allows access to this setting without being connected to a display? Also can changing the switch setting to off or on take effect in real time?
