Recently I had an incident where the brightness under settings/display turned all the way down by itself. As a consequence, I was unable to see my screen at all. I had to reboot my phone multiple times but it ended with a dark screen all the time. I was about to visit a cell repair store thinking that the phone crashed completely. Then I went inside a very dark room and I could barely see the icons and phone unlock fingerprint button. Somehow I was able to unlock the phone and turn on the brightness again and also turned on the adaptive brightness this time. I also noticed that the adaptive brightness is turning off by itself sometimes. Looks like there is a bug with brightness setting and also adaptive brightness setting. Samsung should consider locking the system to a minimum brightness so that users can see things on their phone instead of assuming that the phone broke completely.
