Can we keep Samsung Messages?!

I just opened my phone and realized Samsung wants us to switch to Google messages. I am not ok with this. This is a dumb idea. Google messages did not work well when I 1st bought my phone and I'm sure it doesn't work any better now. Please let us keep the option for Samsung messages. I'm sure many Samsung users feel the same way.

If you hate Google, why did you purchase an Android phone? It is not Samsung's responsibility to provide you with a list of alternative messaging apps.  They have suggested an alternative, it's just not one that you like.

What is the best alternative for samsung messages? I agree if I wanted Google for messages then I'd have a Google phone . I am a big fan of Samsung messages too.

This has been known for 2 yeara now. No one is forcing Google messages on you.. After trying GM last year, I think it's better. Bit them it's literally a message app they are almost all the same

If I wanted a google phone, I would've bought one. Google messages are the worst... most generic garbage. And continuous request for AI snooping? **bleep** Samsung??? Galaxy girl for years... If I have to do this I'll just go to an iphone....

You do not have to use Google Messages, you do have to choose an allternative though if you want to text.

Yeah, unfortunately, Samsung phones will be left with only third-party text apps, which is really bad. You're right. Google Messages is really bad, and it was a bad decision from Samsung to get rid of their texting app. And maybe this will continue with other apps. You never know what app Samsung will get rid of next.
Note: Android OS is open source, and Google Messages is a closed-source app. Please be very careful when installing any closed-source app.

Are you advising people to be careful when installing closed-source apps such as Samsung Messages? Or do you only mean closed-source apps that you don't like?
