My Galaxy S23+, 512 GB on AT&T carrier (unlocked) has been acting up insanely. This past few weeks, at roughly once a week, I've encountered a bizarre frozen screen with minimal functionality allowing me to only do a single swipe/tap, limited to the notification pull down (able to swipe down twice on this and this sequence only) which gets me to see the Power button — then everything else won't respond. I can't tap any button, can't swipe up, nada. Only able to use the bottom 3 button bar (tasks, home, back). By doing any of that, I can either open task manager and go back to being at a frozen response or go back / home screen and again be stuck with no further response. My Edge Panel (third party) also works, similar to Notification panel, but again one-and-done operation.

Unable to manually restart via phone functions. Gemini seems to work in responding to requests, but when trying to power off or restart, it needs me to tap to confirm, and that's back to square one - no response.

Anyone else having this random issue with sudden frozen / unresponsive touch / taps mid-app use. Doesn't matter which app, when the problem starts, it starts. It's not specific to any app.

I'm left with no other option but a forced hard reboot. Even have been running Active Armor by AT&T to scan daily, nothing pops up as a Device threat. This was the 5th time and I'm now looking for answers.

I'm having the same problem with my phone. It seems to only happen on a couple of apps but now it's starting to happen all the time!
