Galaxy S23Hello Courtneycarrender, Thanks for reaching out for assistance. I know it can be a headache with getting errors trying to update your phone.
Try these steps:
Use Samsung Smart Switch (Recommended)
If your phone is stuck in a loop or the over-the-air (OTA) update keeps failing, updating via a computer is the most reliable method.
1. Download and install the Samsung Smart Switch app on your PC or Mac.
2. Open the program and connect your Samsung phone using a high-quality, data-capable USB cable.
3. If an update is available, an Update button will appear on your computer screen under your device details.
4. Click it and follow the on-screen prompts.
Free Up Storage Space
Major software updates require several gigabytes of free internal space. If your phone is full, the update will halt or refuse to start.
1. Go to Settings > Device Care (or Battery and device care) > Storage to check your available space.
2. Uninstall unused apps or delete old videos/photos to free up at least 5-10GB
Reset Network Settings
Interrupted updates can be caused by unstable Wi-Fi or mobile data.
1. Go to Settings > General management > Reset.
2. Select Reset network settings and confirm.
3. Reconnect to your Wi-Fi and try the update again.
Let me know if this helps!
