Widgets Android Update

After the last UI update, how can I move Google Search and make the widget background color lighter, almost see through.

That's just tells me how to remove it. That was not my question.

You can only change the background if you remove the perma-search bar and replace it with the normal widget.  The permanent bar cannot be adjusted in any way, as it is not a widget.  Turn it off and add the Google search widget back.

How do you turn it off so I can add back the widget?

The video shows you how together rid off the permanent bar. After that long press on your home screen, select widget, find Google, select the search.
