The call recording feature frequently interupts my phone calls and I have never, and likely will never, have a use for such a feature.

I suggest an option where the button can be removed from the call screen, or the feature altogether disabled.  In the very least, make it so the button does not accidently get pressed when someone is in the middle of a phonecall.

It is literally (and I mean literally in the truest since) the most annoying thing I've had to deal with on any smart phone I've ever used and I honestly don't believe it was tested before it was released.  It hinders the main purpose of a phone (a phonecall) by disrupting the call and in a heated conversation just adds fuel to the fire.

All setting on my s21 ultra are turned off and it is still automatically recording calls..
This is a huge issue when the receiving party hangs up because of the recording being done.
It's stupid that I have to turn it off manually.
Needs to be the other way around turn it on if you want to record.
FIX IT PLEASE.
Before I got to a cheap jazz phone.

Please tell me you can disable or remove this feature. It's highly annoying and as much as I despise iPhone these Samsung phones are getting worse. Please help

Call recording should not activate on its own. There's an in-call button that must be pressed in order for a call to be recorded. If you don't want this feature, use a different dialer app, such as Phone by Google. You're not locked into using the Samsung dialer.

I have never pressed the button, and it happens to me regularly.   I have noticed it is exactly where my earlobe is, so if I move slightly, it can hit the button and start recording.

I apologize, but this feature cannot be disabled. Your only options are to not press the record button or to download a different phone dialer application.

Thank you, this is so frustrating. I wish they would give us an option on what updates we want to install. Every time they push an update, I have to spend an hour reconfiguring my apps, installing apps to replace what they took away and uninstalling or disabling features I don't want. I used to love android phones because they gave you the ability to configure the way you wanted. Now they're slowly taking these functions away and have become almost identical to the damned iPhone. I remember the days when you could clear the cache on all the apps at the same time. I honestly think these developers think of updates they can push. After 15 years, I'm almost ready to find a cheap phone and do away with Samsung all together. SMH.. SAMSUNG DO BETTER!!!

Well that's stupid. Its annoying. And they say the other caller can't hear the notification, but yes...they can. And it starts after you've been talking for a minute.

I think that is the issue.  The button is not being pressed. It is potentially a part of the ear or face, hitting the button based on its location.

I agree this is soooooooo annoying on all levels.  There should be a deactivation button and or you should be able to remove the button from the call screen. ๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿพ

Agreed. This is the most annoying feature.  Not sure what the benefit of the feature is if it is going to let the person you are talking to know you activated it.

I never, and I mean never, hit the button with my fingers.    The only conclusion I have come to is that it has hit a part of my face or my earlobe, based on my having to move the phone position.  Very annoying since I do not know anyone that sits still while talking on the phone.

Hopefully this is gone from the s26.  Or I may have to do the google dialer people are suggesting on here that is not really a good solution for everyone.  Think of all the people who have not submitted this to Samsung or older people who don't know how many of the features work. I can only think of this happening to my parents and them know knowing how to fix it.

This is a design flaw in my opinion.
