Galaxy S24How do you know it's not working? Try switching the slider off, clearing the phone's cache partition, rebooting and then turning it back on. When testing, make sure your phone is actually locked (not unlocked by extended unlock or a routine). Test by putting your phone in lockdown mode. If you don't have lockdown mode enabled already, enable it by going to those same secure lock settings slide on show lockdown mode option. To then put your phone in lockdown mode, press and hold the side button and select lockdown mode from the menu. This option will require your password to unlock until the next time you reboot your phone.

Galaxy S24Part - 1 Do you have extend unlock on? That is do you have it set to remain unlocked while you are at home or at work or attached to a wi-fi network? If you have a watch, do you have it set to remain unlocked when you are connected to the watch? If any of these things are true, your phone will not lock while those conditions exist. The screen must actually lock, not simply time out. If any o these conditions are true and you put your phone down and someone grabs it, it will lock as soon as they are out of the range of the unlocking factor. Theoretically, if they are still nearby, they can turn off the wi-fi or Bluetooth, but they are more likely thinking about getting away with the phone than locking it down. In any case, if they grab it and simply turn it off while it's in an unlocked state, that security feature won't work anyway. If you have extend unlock on and this worries you, you need to turn off extend unlock - which would mean entering your password or using your fingerprint each and every time the screen times out/locks.
I just tried turning off wi-fi while my phone was locked and I could not do it, the screen requires a password or fingerprint to unlock when an attempt is made. It was not in lockdown mode, just normal lock.

Galaxy S24Part -2 If you cleared your cache partition and it did not help and you are absolutely sure your phone is locked (on the lock screen, make sure the lock icon is shown as closed. If it's open, long press to lock it) then try. Boot your phone into safe mode (long press the side button to shut down and tap the shut down icon twice, you will get the option to boot into safe mode), and see if the same thing happens. If it it works while in safe mode, then some third party app or one of your settings is interfering. If it still does not work, put in an error report.

Galaxy S24Yes, that is correct, the error report can only be sent through the support tab of the members app. It is not available on the website. This is because, in most cases, the phone log is necessary and automatically uploaded, which can only be done from the device in question. https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Tips-Tricks/How-to-Send-Feedback/ba-p/3001692
