Thumbs DOWN to Google Messaging

I am very disturbed with the Google Messaging switch. I tried it & it does NOT compare to Samsung Messaging! The RCS feature is not needed. Sure one can send emoji responses on a message like iPhone but if that's what one desires, GET AN IPHONE! It only works when the receiving party uses the same RCS feature on their Android phone anyway. The overall features on the Samsung Messaging app has way more personal customization features that make each & every chat/group more visible & organized. I will stick with Samsung Messaging until forced to switch on ALL platforms.

There are other third party messaging apps available.
Try Textra. I used it for years and it was solid. I actually like Google Messages though. Comes down to user preference. Yes, a choice to have Samsung Messages would be nice, but Samsung is not forced to keep maintaining an app if they don't want to.

Hi there, my name is Dion the issue im addressing is having to do with the Samsung Messaging app switch over to Google messaging app. I have switched over to and tried the Google messaging application for three days and did this three different times then i just switched back to Samsung Messaging App because I ran into all kinds of glitches, and whatever. Hiccups to do with this transfer over and I don't get a messages from IOS systems people are not able to message me and vise a versa. Saying that everyone's being forced to switch over to this Google messaging app. And I cannot receive my messages from my family or friends or whatever, who have iOS, messaging on their apple phone, and it's all kinds of glitches. And when I went to switch back over to Google some of the messages are, you know, didn't copy over to the Google messaging side. I still not all the massages were able to copy over to Google meanding App so there is all kinds of issues. I then again switch back to Samsung Messaging App. My messages just will not copy over to Google but when i switch back to Samsung my messages came back. Showing that the Google Messaging App is no good. I've called about this a few times about this issue. And asking that you guys reconsider this decision, please, this is a huge problem. I don't know why you know Google messaging is not made for my phone. It does not play well. I cannot receive messages from people. And there's all kinds of glitches where the Samsung Messaging app was seamless works great. I am not. I do not want Google messaging. I don't care for the AI which I don't want to have another system take over my Messaging application. I'm not interested in that. If I want Google Applications I would simply have bought a Google Phone. Please reconsider this decision to let people have options if they want Google messaging that's fine if they want to stay with Samsung messaging, that that should be left open as an option. And please make it available as an Transferable and downloadable App for the next Samsung Phone and Tablet coming out early next year please. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Why don't you or why can't you just integrate RCS and other features into the Samsung Messaging app? If its thats so important? Then people can choose to have this feature without having to switch.

Carriers will not support RCS in Samsung messages. If Samsung is to develop it's own RCS protocol it would be compatible with Samsung messages only and will not be cross compatible unless other companies adapt it. To end Samsung messages is the easiest and best option

100% Agree and will not DEPRECIATE to Google messaging until forced to take the DOWNGRADE. Google sucks, Samsung is becoming just as bad.

I wonder why are samsung discontinuing its messaging app? I think samsung messaging app way better than googles messages. Google just better with them emojis. Samsung all around customizable and i like that.
