Dear Samsung Team,I’m writing as a loyal Samsung customer to express concern about the recent “1-Year Free Perplexity Pro” promotion offered through the Samsung Members app and Galaxy Store. Many users, myself included, installed the Perplexity app expecting a full year of free access to Perplexity Pro as advertised. However, upon signup, the offer either failed to apply or was limited to a much shorter trial period — a clear case of misleading or inconsistent promotion.This feels like a bait-and-switch, where the advertised benefit influenced users’ engagement but wasn’t honored in practice. It’s frustrating to see a trusted company like Samsung associated with such promotional confusion, especially through its official channel.I urge Samsung to review this partnership and take responsibility for ensuring all promotional offers on Galaxy devices are transparent, accurate, and properly fulfilled. Check your e-mail -- Perplexity sent out the following stating that if you don't add a credit card on file, your account will go back to the free version until one is added.

If you want to keep it, you should be able to add a credit card and regain access through the end of your 1 year trial.

I added a credit card and then was charged. Its now a monthly subscription.

This is a scam!. And Samsung by allowing perplexity to do so, is guilty as well.
