Hello Community Members.

We understand the frustrations caused by the battery drain on your phones and have found a solution.  This is occurring on T-Mobile phones because of the mobile services app.  In order to remove the application, first open Settings, then open Apps, press the filter and sort icon to the right of Apps. Then turn on Show System Apps and search Mobile Services. Select the three dots to the right of mobile services, and then select Uninstall updates. You will need to select OK. After you have selected OK make sure to check the version it should be downgraded.

This will get you back up and running. If not, donโ€™t hesitate to reach out to us once again!

Thank you for being a Samsung customer.

Touch the screen on my s23 ultra and it wiggles rapidly. Don't know why? Makes it hard to scroll up in a story. Anyone else have this?

I looked it up these were the possible solutions. Best of..... and let us know if it works. Although the wipe cache partition seems a bit ironic.
To fix screen flickering or "wiggle" on the S23 Ultra, first force restart the phone, update software, and clear the cache partition. If it persists, toggle "Disable HW overlays" in Developer Options, test in Safe Mode, or force 120Hz using third-party tools. Persistent flickering likely requires a screen repair.

Key Troubleshooting Steps:
Force Restart: Hold Volume Down + Side Key simultaneously.
Disable HW Overlays: Go to Settings > Developer Options (enable by tapping Build Number 7 times) > Turn on "Disable HW overlays".
Safe Mode: Turn off the phone, turn it on, and hold Volume Down when the logo appears. If the flickering stops, a third-party app is the cause.
Clear Cache Partition: Turn off phone, hold Volume Up + Power, select "Wipe cache partition" in recovery menu.
Software Update: Ensure all apps and system software are updated.
Force 120Hz: Some users found success using apps like "Galaxy Max Hz" to prevent refresh rate fluctuations.

If the screen exhibits green lines or flickers even in safe mode, it is likely a hardware issue with the screen cable, requiring a visit to an authorized Samsung service center.

So I tried Samsung support and that didn't work, so I will do a factory reset after One UI 8.5 update doesn't t solve the problen.

For me it was "Mobile Services" crashing over and over. I went into the menu and uninstalled updates, and it fixed it.

They removed that app interface in update 16. At least for me

So I ended up doing factory reset the day before receiving April security patch. Seems to have done the trick.

I'm happy for you๐Ÿ˜Š. Although now, there's no proof that the updates broke battery life...but shiiii I would not care as long as my battery went back to the beast it used to be before all this planned obsolescence ๐Ÿ’ฉ. ๐Ÿ˜…

Hello,

When is Samsung going to fix the battery drain problem they introduced with thw April 2026 security patch update?

It is ridiculous that it has a month and no update from Samsung on fixing the problem they introduced.

Actually, it appears it was introduced by Google as Pixel owners have also been hit by this issue. As it doesn't affect all Android users, it is most likely something that isn't easily traced.
