Help!!

Just randomly as I was trying to view a sample of a font, a message popped up saying that I needed parental permission to do that. I don't know why this is happening all of a sudden. Especially, considering that I am the parent and no one in on my Samsung account except me. So, I decided to factory reset my phone and delete my Google FamilyLink account that I do use to supervise my kid's phones. But NONE of that has worked. I contacted Samsung via chat and nothing he offered helped either. Now that I factory reset my phone, of course, I need to update my apps. Now it won't even let me update my Samsung apps from the Samsung store. It's saying I need parental permission. I googled a solution for the problem and it said it could be my age. My age hasn't changed and trust I'm way old enough. I just don't understand why it's doing this. Right before this happened, I got a prompt message asking what state I was located in and after that everything asking for parental permission started. Please someone help.

I have no family group through my Samsung account and never have. 

This is the age thing in my Samsung account and what it's been set at since I first bought the phone. I didn't even know this existed until all this started happening.

It's so weird...idk what is going on with Samsung. I have the S25 Ultra. I bought it brand new from the Samsung website in February and it's been issue after issue.

What's going on with Samsung is compliance with state laws. If you want to complain contact your legislators

Sorry you're running into this issue. 👏🏽 Have you tried restarting your phone and checking for a software update first? Sometimes that alone fixes random glitches. If it still happens, clearing the cache of the affected app or running the device in Safe Mode can help identify if another app is causing the problem. Hopefully you get it sorted soon. 💙

Thank you. I actually factory reset my phone before posting in here, and I wish I had of before I did. Someone else in here suggested clearing the cache and data, and then force stop. After you do all that then select California as your state instead of Texas. I did that and it worked. It may be a temporary fix but it works for now. When I had to reset up my Google FamilyLink for my kids it's Texas's doing. They have gotten strict on what kids can download and view because I have to select the state we are in and it verifies it via location now. So, I'm guessing it's a glitch where the software is not reading people's ages properly or something. But thanks for commenting!

Good to know the cache/data reset and state change worked 👍🏽 Hopefully it’s just a temporary glitch and gets fixed properly in an update.

You're welcome! Yeah, I just wish I had checked in here before I factory reset lol because even after I did that and selected Texas, it still kept asking for "parental permission"...so I am assuming it's new Texas restriction laws and the software is glitching.
