I upgraded to a Unlocked Samsung Galaxy S25 FE from a Samsung Galaxy A23 yesterday. I transferred the data using Smart Switch. I am having a issue receiving TFA codes via Google Messages on one or two of my book marked websites on Google. Verification by SMS in Google settings are toggled.

Any ideas?

Another footnote is I did not receive text messages either today from my Carrier for link to reset my password for my voicemail. But I had gotten password issue fixed by visiting a store.

After switching phones, ensure your SIM card is active in the new device and that you have disabled RCS/Chat features on your old phone to receive OTP texts properly in Google Messages. If issues persist, check that your new phone is set as the default messaging app and verify that SMS is enabled.

Key Solutions for OTP Issues After Phone Switch:

Disable Old RCS: If switching from Android to a new phone (especially iPhone), turn off RCS on the old device to prevent messages from being routed there.

Check Carrier/Signal: Ensure the SIM card is correctly inserted and active to receive SMS.

Update Settings: Go to Settings > Google > Autofill > SMS Verification Codes to ensure OTP auto-detection is enabled.

Manually Trigger OTP: If using 2-Step Verification, log in to your Google Account on a browser to trigger a new SMS, or select "Try another way" if the text does not arrive.

Manage Old OTPs: Enable "Auto-delete OTPs after 24 hours" in Google Messages settings to keep your inbox clean

My SIM Card is active on new phone. My old phone is inactive for calls and texts.
I can send and receive texts normally from contacts.
It's just weird it's app or two and one or two web accounts. The option of receiving the code via email works.

Have you checked Google Messages spam & blocked folder? Certain short codes may be flagged as spam.

It's like the same way I have never been able to get a verification code from Facebook no matter what I do. Fortunately there are other means. Once you get in by an alternate method, is there an option to use an authenticator app? Most password managers have the authenticator built in these days.
