Modes and Routines widgets lack an indicator for active routines

On the S25 Ultra, the Modes and Routines widgets provide no visual indicator whatsoever to show whether a routine is currently active. (Note: my question is about Routines, not Modes).

Unlike the previous versions, which displayed a small 'colored dot' on top of the icon when a routine was running, on One UI 7.0 does not provide any such indication.

This absence of an indicator makes it difficult to visually verify if a routine is running which removes an essential layer of convenience and usability.

In the screenshot below, the routine to the left (house icon) is indeed running, but there is no indication of this at all.

I prefer the way they had it originally on older phones like my S10e - the whole icon changed color to show that a Routine was active. The little colored dot can be hard to see, especially on small phones.

Agree. And now there is no indicator at all anymore. At least as far as I can see on my brand new S25 Ultra.

Do you also have a One UI 7.0 device? What do you see on it?

No, my phone is an S23+. I'm interested to hear about the new features on the S25 phones, but I don't see any reason to give up my current phone yet.

I don't use the widget, but on my S25U the star on the status bar indicates a Routine is on. The Now Bar also indicates which routines are in use.

Ok, I just set up the widget, I have 2 routines in the widget. 1 is to turn on Unlock when I am on my Home WiFi. The other is to turn off WiFi when I leave my Home. When you press the button it tells you whether it is on or off. In the notification shade it will tell you which routines are running!

When you press the icon on the widget, a brief text message appears indicating whether the routine has started or stopped. However, as far as I can tell, there’s no permanent indicator on the widget itself. Do you see a persistent indicator on it, like in older versions of One UI? Or is it only visible in the notification shade, which you have to pull down to check?
