Galaxy S25If this has been asked I apologize. I have a Samsung Galaxy Edge S25. I got it back in October so it's too late to send it back for a refund. It is a refurb, I have T-Mobile, and discovered long after my window to return it, it was a Verizon phone. I have been unable to update the phone software, since November, I took it to a service center today and the guy told me that it's because was a Verizon phone trying to update on the T-Mobile network. Is that accurate? If so is there a way to fix it? Appreciate any advice. Thank you!

Galaxy S25Your options at this point are:
1. Temporarily install a Verizon SIM (it doesn't have to be active) to get updates. You will have to do this every time there's an update.
2. Take your phone to an authorized service center to have them flash unlocked firmware. There will be a fee for this service, but it will allow you to get OTA updates regardless of which carrier's SIM is installed.
Was the service center you visited an authorized repair partner for Samsung?

Galaxy S25Thank you, it does seem like it's a verizon/ tmobile issue. I guess I just have to keep on trying to figure it out. The tech that I met with over the weekend said that there might be a place that will kind of relock the phone, then unlock it again with the T-Mobile? I don't know if that is even something that they can do.

Galaxy S25No update really. I'm told I could get a Verizon sim card and have it inserted for the updates. But then I'd have to do that every time I wanted to update the phone.
