My wife and I have been having issues with RCS not working for over 2 weeks now. She has the S25+ and I have the S25 Ultra. Every day fort he last two weeks RCS won't work and it forces us to send SMS messages. Half of the time SMS messages won't go thru. Anyone else going thru this? We have Xfinity mobile and they said it's on Samsung not the Carriers.

I'm not sure if this is any help.
I pressed to switch over to google messages. After I switched I started having problems with my phone. People wouldnt receive my texts or photos Id send. I called verizon, all we did was a the ol troubleshoot the phone but it didnt work.
The very kind lady said it might because "It doesnt know which app its sending from" or something like that.
The final solution was to change my mumber. I changed it fhe first time and people were still not getting my calls, I changed it the 2nd time and everything was back to normal. This was just my experience to make it work.

I'm using Google messages. 8 haven't used Samsung messages since the note 20 ultra.

And you were both using RCS prior to this starting with no issues on these same devices?

Correct. And now even SMS messages are not going thru most of the time. I have to delete and re send them a couple of times before they go through as SMS.

If SMS is not going through, and your wife is having the same issue, I'm going to say your carrier is lying to you (or the rep you spoke to was misinformed). SMS goes through the carrier's servers, not Google's, as RCS does. I, personally, am not having an issue with either, but I also don't have Xfinity mobile. Have you tried turning RCS off and seeing if SMS goes through that way? Maybe turning it off and then back on will reset it.

Sounds like a provisioning issue. Go to the Play Store and get the app "Net Monster" (temporarily). Open it after allowing functions, then click on the hamburger menu, click on Phone info.Then click on the 3 vertical dots on the top right and then click on "IMS Service Status" . In the small popup look next to the IMS registration and if it says unregistered, that will be a specific carrier issue. Call them.
