Galaxy S251. Physically Clean and Reseat the SIM:
Power off completely, open the SIM tray,
Inspect the SIM tray for bent pins and ensure the SIM card is clean (no dust or oils) and not scratched. Clean the contacts on the SIM card and Reinsert it carefully to ensure it fits snugly then close the tray.
2. Reset Network Settings:
Go to Settings -> General Management -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings. This clears cached carrier data that may be corrupted.
3.Test the SIM in Another Phone:
If you have access to another phone, test your SIM card in it. If it doesn't work there, the SIM card is damaged and needs to be replaced by your carrier.
If the error persists after these steps, your SIM card or phone's SIM reader may be broken and need of repair or replacement.

Galaxy S25It would not be unheard of for a SIM card to become defective all of a sudden. The easiest, least disruptive thing to do is to go to your carrier store and request another SIM or use an e-SIM if your phone supports it. Otherwise, follow @Pianodude58 's advice. If none of that works, then you should have the phone evaluated at a repair center in case something internal failed.
