AI Select

On the S26 ultra the AI Select circle keeps popping up. Is there anyway to stop this from happening?

Hello userNYEPRpXicM, thank you for your feedback. I understand your concerns regarding disabling features on your device. When you say that the AI select circle keeps popping up are you talking about the Circle to Search feature? You can disable Circle to Search by turning off the Digital Assistant app option: Open Settings, Tap Apps, Tap Choose default Apps, Tap Digital Assistant App, tap the switch next to analyze on screen images to turn the option off. Once this option is disabled you will no longer be able to use the Circle to Search feature on your device and if you try to use the feature you will get a message stating Circle to Search unavailable due to your settings. 

You can also disable all Galaxy AI features but please be advised that disabling AI features may affect the performance and functionality of your device. While some AI features may be integrated into the system and cannot be disabled. 

To disable Galaxy AI features: Open Settings, Tap Galaxy AI, Tap Advanced Features, Tap Galaxy AI or Awesome Intelligence, you will see a list of AI features on your device, you can turn off the switch next to the features you want to disable, restart your device to ensure the changes take effect.

I am still experiencing instances of AI Select activating, particularly when simply holding the device. This functionality should ideally be restricted to explicit activation via the designated AI icon. I have already disabled the "Circle to Search" feature as per your previous recommendation.


Isn't the AI select only used for highlighting text or images of something that you want to save to your device and the Circle to Search is used to circle an item to research if there are other items in the same category?
