S26 ultra severe battery issues

*Edit* my issues seem to have been resolved either by the security update on Wednesday or once the phone settled down after setup. Im leaning more toward the update because it changed so much right after. Either way, its working fantastic now. 3/12

I am facing extremely terrible battery life. The numbers don't even add up. I listen to Spotify with my phone in my pocket while at work. Within 2 hours it drained from 100% to 15%. Screen off. That shouldn't happen. Then, charging it in my car as I drove to my next job. Charging says it will take 1 hours to hit 100%. After 20 mins in the car, it went from 15% to 17%. Insane. Then walking around with it in my pocket, no Spotify, occasional screen use, in 10 mins it dropped to 5%??

It might be updates it happens to Apple too. Ig use light mode and power saving

It's most certainly in need of an update. I toggled power saver and that helps. But I shouldn't need that. There's obviously some background process that's running amok.

You're not the only one. I get at least 7 hours or 6 hours in total from 100-10%. I have almost every app on deep sleep, force stop, battery restricted, and notifications off. Its terrible.

got the same issue with my s22 ultra, it only lasts like 3 to 6 hours, i'm afraid there's no fix besides a battery replacement if it persists.

Same problem here; the battery drains really fast.
From 5 a.m. to 2 p.m., with light use, it dropped to 26%.

Maybe wait a week for the battery to learn your usage patterns

Same here.  S26 Ultra at 78% when I left the house at 9am.  Hardly used it all while at work.  Began to check some emails at lunch and get a beep.  It's just hit 15% at 12:30.  It drops to 11% just walking back to my desk to charge it.
The S23 Ultra I also brought with me to work as a back up...  Left the house at 72%.  Checked it when I got back to my desk at 12:35.   71%.  Debating on if I've made a mistake shelling out money for this "upgrade".

Granted this is a new phone, just set up last night, and first day out in the wild.
BUT... this is not my first new phone and I never recall having this issue before.

That was exactly how mine was! It was really warm all day too. But, Its totally fine now. Great even. I would do two things:
1. Check to see if you have any updates, I think that's what fixed mine. But if there arent any updates then...

2. Wait a couple days. I got my phone Monday, then Tuesday was horrible, I used over 200% of my battery. To help mitigate the problem i turned down the processor, turned on save power to highest setting, lowered screen resolution. It helped somewhat.

Hope yours gets straightened out too. If mine didn't get fixed by itself I was going to give it a week before I contacted samsung.

Brand new s26 ultra battery drains fast . 3 hours from 100% down to 75%. S25+ battery had longevity . Debating if to send my tradein back. Not pleased.
