I just bought an S26 Ultra (One UI 8.5 + Android 16) and am trying to customize the edge lighting notifications. Having the same colour for absolutely everything seems like such a waste of potential - what I want to do is have a different colour for incoming calls, SMS, WhatsApp, and Outlook emails.
I can't find a way to customize the colour by app but there is an option called "Lighting effect colour by keyword" which seems to correspond to the full name of the sender.
In other words I can customize the lighting effect according to full sender name match (e.g. "John Smith") but not by app (e.g. Phone/Google Messages/WhatsApp/Outlook).
Am I missing something or is it really impossible to make different apps trigger different edge notification colours?
