Feature Suggestion - VPN Tethering Passthrough

I think it would be awesome if we could have our hotspot pass through our VPN if connected. It would save users the cost of having to go out and buy a travel router as well as make it a all in one package just needing your phone to do everything. 

At my house I VPN back into it to do all sorts of things like connect to my NAS/Computers remotely. I just would like to be able to bring that to the other devices connected through my hotspot without the need for a VPN client on my devices that connect.

We can already do wifi sharing why not add an option to allow VPN sharing as well.

Just my 2 cents if I understand your inquiry. On your device laptop or pc your VPN on that can be used and or turned on as you wish

It is my understanding that if you have a VPN active on your phone, it will be active for the wi-fi hotspot, as all the hotspot is doing is sharing the connection to your mobile or wi-fi.  If you go to connections/more connection settings, I believe you actually can add your home VPN.  Tap the VPN setting then tap the  + on the top right to add and configure your VPN connection

You should definitely either take those screenshots down or edit to block out yor hotspot name and password. You may have to configure the VPN on the connected device.

Technically that password is only for local devices i do not care too much about it though i rather not have people try to lock me out. So ill remove that. ( strange i did crop that and it posted the full part. )

That's why I use object eraser to block out sensitive information, rather than the pen tool.

Another thing, the status bar indicates that the VPN is active on the device you took the screenshot on. It may not show on the connected device, but since anyone connected to your hotspot is using the protected data stream, it should be acting as protection for that device as well.

That is why I was showing my ip and it was showing tmobile. If it was actually going through my network at home it would show google fiber. I would also be able to access my servers though i am not able to.
