I get it for those that use themes on there phones. I personally my 2 screens extensively. With custom widgets and icon packs!

I just feel functionality is more important then what an app for communication looks like. I look at my screens all day, I am not in a texting app, all day.

Oh i get what you're saying, I'm not in the app all day either it's just when i do use it it's annoying having it be so bland.. there's literally no reason why they need to get rid of messages for google other than being lazy and that's sad for a company as big as Samsung

It's a cost savings measure for not only Samsung, Carriers too. Carrier don't want to host RCS in Samsung Messgaes

Did you dislike Google Messages all those years you used Pixels?

I actually did.. i hated the blandness with a passion the 7pro was the last good pixel the 8,9 and 10 were nothing but a headache..

I will never understand grown adults want form over function.

BTW, I have owned every Pixel since the 7pro, 8 pro, 9PROXL and now the 10ProXl. The 10ProXl is the first Pixel I could get to last the whole day.

Nope, not the only one. I hate Google! Not happy about the switch. I also have themes I use in messages

You are not alone. I wish to keep using Samsung Messages too.

I'm concerned about Google Gemini and the photo remix function on Google Messages. I have also heard many people have lost text messages when transferring over from Samsung Messages to Google Messages.

I think this shift is, even if it has been in the works for years, is still premature because of the Ai bubble, which is popping.
