Galaxy S26You have a lot of people looking over your shoulder? I can understand if your phone is locked and unattended, not having them show on the lock screen, but unlocked the phone is in your control. They will read it when you open it up anyway, if that's the case. Also, notifications pop up and disappear so fast, one would have to have supervision and super skills to read that fast on a truncated message notification. But, whatever, just turn show as pop up off and you will only get an icon that lets you know there are notifications behind the screen. Or, you can turn off notifications entirely for "private" apps, and just guess when you have messages.

Galaxy S26Hello userNvn1xxZ8Ow, welcome to the Samsung Community! I understand your concerns regarding wanting privacy on your device when notifications pop up on your lock screen. There are different options available for lock screen notifications: Open Settings, Notifications, Lock Screen, Show Notifications to on or you can turn lock screen notifications completely off.
Choose your Notification Style:
Cards-full message preview
Icons-just the app icon
Dot-small badge
You can also adjust Privacy Display in lock screen settings to make the screen more difficult to read.
Be sure to click " โ Accept as Solution" when you find an answer that works for you.
Please note, notification emails are a DO NOT REPLY address, you must log-in on the community page in order to respond.

Galaxy S26They don't want not to show the notifications on the lock screen when the phone is locked (they already know how to do that), they want to not show the notifications on the home screen when the phone is UNLOCKED.

Galaxy S26Perhaps set up the secure folder and add the messaging app to the folder?
You also have the option to turn off the notification popup or change the popup style to brief instead of detailed. But, why would you need them hidden when your phone is unlocked, when presumably it's in your control? Unless it's in the secure folder, even if there were no details on the norification, anyone can still tap the notification to go to the message. In the secure folder, the content would be hidden and would need a password to view.
