I can't wait for google messages to update their app with the same features as samsung messages and then I will finally use them and I also hope they change their icon also and to whoever got me banned for speaking my mind about how I felt about google messages, I'M BACK

You can change any app icon to any image you want. It doesn't have to match the app.

When go to the icon pack editor you can choose any icon from any icon pack or use any image from your gallery you want. You could even use a favorite photo as an app icon.

Just as a proof of concept I quickly made this image for my messaging app in Canva and applied it.
