S26 ultra severe battery issues

*Edit* my issues seem to have been resolved either by the security update on Wednesday or once the phone settled down after setup. Im leaning more toward the update because it changed so much right after. Either way, its working fantastic now. 3/12

I am facing extremely terrible battery life. The numbers don't even add up. I listen to Spotify with my phone in my pocket while at work. Within 2 hours it drained from 100% to 15%. Screen off. That shouldn't happen. Then, charging it in my car as I drove to my next job. Charging says it will take 1 hours to hit 100%. After 20 mins in the car, it went from 15% to 17%. Insane. Then walking around with it in my pocket, no Spotify, occasional screen use, in 10 mins it dropped to 5%??

Please note that it can take a few days for Your device to learn and Adjust the Battery settings, Also please try using the Samsung Good Guardians app from the Galaxy store and use the Battery and Application Tools to Adjust your Galaxy device

I have a new S26 ultra and all the necessary accessories like a ESR cooled Qi2.2 charger and a dbrand thin magnetic case.  I only get the full 25w charging if it place the phone on the charger unplugged and then plug it in.   If I leave the charger plugged in and place the phone, I get only 7w charging.   

This is obviously a handshake issue with the charger.   I believe that the phone needs a patch to get this working properly as the charger, as far as I know, is just a dumb device with no upgradable firmware.    Like I said, I get a solid 25w charge if I plug in after placing the phone, but I really don't want to do this every day for the next 3 years or so I will own the phone.

I have the exact same issue. I thought it was the charger so I returned it and got another. Same issue. I've tried it with a case and without. The only way to get 25 watt charging is to put the phone on the charger and then plug in the charger.

Yeah, they need to release a patch.  This is definitely a software issue.

I'm having the same issue. With my 25W wireless charger, the phone only starts charging if I attach the charger first and then plug in the USB-C cable. This happens specifically when using the Pitaka Mageez (Edge) case. Interestingly, when I use my QuadLock case—which is thicker—super fast wireless charging works every time without any issues. Also, if I hold the charger slightly higher up on the Pitaka case (at the level of the cameras), it starts charging normally.

Just got my new S26 Ultra a few days ago and have been having two problems with wireless charging. The first is the phone will not lay flat on the charging pad because the extended camera module interferes with the the location of the charging coil inside the phone. Second, although it does not lay flat, it will still be close enough to charge. The problem though is that when charging is complete the indicator light on the charger will not switch from red to green to indicate that charging is done. The phone display indicates that charging is complete but the charger still indicates that it is still charging. I tried this on two genuine Samsung charging pads and one third party pad and all performed the same way. These charging pads all work perfectly with my previous S23 Ultra and my S20 5G phones. Any idea of what could be going on here?

Here's an update. Looks like this phenomenon only occurs when charging it to less than 100%. I had it set to stop charging at 85%, as a test I changed it to 100% and the charge pad indicator turned green when it was done.

Hi all,

Got my phone a couple days ago. Ever since the first day, when I hook up my fast charger from my S24 Ultra, my S26 says its super fast charging, shows a quick ETA, but doesn't charge. I've noticed this every time. 

The ETA never changes. It always says its super fast, but it isnt. I can leave it plugged in all night and it won't fully charge or even close to it. Do I have a defective phone from factory?

Honestly I recommend to try different chargers and wall boxes and see if that helps. I got my self a cable from Linus Tech tips pair with an 60w anker wall box and it's super fast . Take an hour or some minutes 15% to 100%
