Removing this app without any heads up is poor nature. I hate google messages and had i know I wouldn't be able to get Samsung messages on it i would've stuck with my 25U indefinitely. This is a joke. Give us the option to get our messenger back!!!

Can't send group messages from pictures or articles when I am already in articles or pictures.

That will stop working too probably. I do have the downloaded file, as a matter of fact when I got my 26U I switched by accident and had to side load it.

Regrettably, this situation has been developing for more than two years.

Additionally, it is highly likely that the decision is irreversible at this point.

While no one can say with 100% certainty what is happening internally at Samsung, it is generally the case in the tech industry that by the time discontinuation notices reach users, the relevant development teams have already been disbanded and reassigned to other projects.

I think this current phone will be my last Samsung smart phone. Samsung has been in in a love hate relationship with Google for a long time now, mostly fighting over platform innovations and what some might call incorrectly DMCA issues. So for them to cave into Google and abandon a superior messaging service while forcing their loyal clients onto the Google service smells of corporate bullying to the point samsung finally just tossed in the towel in frustration. Also, Google has made it abundantly clear that it is injecting its Gemini AI platform into EVERYTHING it offers. Quite honestly, I don't need AI, nor want Google pervading my life. So, looks like i'm going to be finding new platforms for my communications
