I just upgraded from S21 to S26. This was at Spectrum store with trade-in. The store transferred all that data between phones. All appeared to work and the S21 was reset to factory wiping out all my data. Today I tried to access my Memo app which contained important data. Well that app did not transfer. Everything was backed up in my Samsung account but when I looked to sync and download data to Samsung Notes there was nothing there to download. I am at a loss, how could this happen?

@PenNib If enabled, the Samsung Notes is backed up directly to your Samsung account. This is separate from the phone settings -> Accounts and backup -> Samsung account -> Back up data. It is also separate from Samsung Smart Switch.

I have no idea what tool the Spectrum store used to do your data transfer.

Thanks for getting back to me. I've been playing around with this problem. On my new S26 I accessed Accounts and backup. My older S21 is listed, and it does show Memo Pad with 742 KB. I attempted to restore but didn't work. There must be a way I can access this and transfer it to Notes. The step suggested online have not worked.

Have you reached out to the developers of the "Memo Pad" app for suggestions?

I donโ€™t see the app in Google Store, so I may be out of luck. Iโ€™ll try Samsung. Perhaps they can tell me how to pull it down to my PC and get the data out of it since they have a copy.

I have never heard of that app. You mentioned it and that's why I asked.

Going through Google search they are stating Memo Pad was a Samsung app which was replaced with Samsung Notes. The Samsung Notes will not restore from the cloud, and that is the only location left with this data. In speaking to Samsung they could not help me. So the data is stuck in the cloud and I have no way at access it.
