Galaxy WatchHey there,
we want to be able to use NFC in an app, to read NFC tags. According to Google employees this isn't be done in Googles Wear OS 3, more in Samsungs provided hardware feature list. Currently these items are the supported NFC features:
$ adb shell pm list features | grep nfc feature:android.hardware.nfc.any feature:android.hardware.nfc.ese feature:android.hardware.nfc.hce feature:android.hardware.nfc.hcef feature:android.hardware.nfc.uicc
To be able to read NFC tags using NFC API, our watches would need to have the feature "android.hardware.nfc", which is the parent of all of them.
You can find a huge list with usage examples in this original Google-Issue: https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/213599626
You can also find the conversation between developers and Googles staff at the beginning of this issue.
Thanks!
Best regards
