My Galaxy Watch 8 started opening the Samsung Pay app by itself. It at first would just say "Welcome to Samsung Pay". I tried to ignore it but it kept popping up every 10 minutes and draining the watch battery. I tried to factory reset the watch as you can't uninstall the app. That didn't work. I tried to uninstall and reinstall on my phone (Galaxy S25 Ultra), that didn't work. I tried just setting up the wallet app and now it pops up every 10 minutes wanting me to use the card I added to it. I just want to be able to use the watch that costs hundreds of dollars, but I can because the Samsung Pay app keeps popping up and killing my battery, so I have to put in the code and close it constantly. Nothing the AI helper said worked. Am I just out the money I spent on the watch? It's not even 2 moths old.
That sounds really annoying having Samsung Pay pop up all the time and drain your watch battery must be frustrating. A lot of users have seen similar behavior where it keeps launching unexpectedly, sometimes tied to software glitches or shortcuts triggering the app, even after resets and reinstalling.
